Forbidden Love Lead to a Tragic Death

By Christina A.

*Introduction*
The bitter enmity of two parties
During the Venetian Renaissance in fair Verona
From their pointless hatred that started way back
Where everyone never gets enough blood on their hands
From the roaring conflict between these two foes
Forbidden love makes one suicidal
For both parent's hatred towards each other keep them apart
Which their deaths lead to peace
And the end of the quarel of both parties

Romeo Montague is the heir of the Montague clan. Romeo is 16 years young. Romeo is a skilled swordsman. Romeo is great friends with Mercutio. Romeo loved Rosaline, a niece of Lord Capulet. However, in return for Romeo’s love, Rosaline rejected Romeo. But Romeo falls in love again with Juliet. I believe Romeo is one of those growing young men trying to be heroic and smooth for the ladies and is new to relationships which make them seem serious about it although they are just under the spell of puppy love.

Juliet is the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet. Juliet is forced to marry Paris for Paris is a wealthy gentleman. However, Juliet does not want to marry Paris for Juliet is just 12 years young. Juliet meets Romeo and both fall deeply in love. However, it is impossible for them to be together for Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet. I believe Juliet is a quiet clueless young lady growing up and is still starting to know the world around her.
“I just got one thing to say to this”, says Juliet’s nurse from the Capulet party, “If only Romeo was not banished from Verona, Juliet wouldn’t have intended to play dead just to escape and runaway with Romeo. Though I heard, the priest was responsible on coming up with the plot. Either way, I believe what both Romeo and Juliet did was a foolish unguided mistake.”

" It was too late. Romeo was too stuborn to be stopped, thinking Romeo knew everything and his doings," said Benvolio. "Nobody knew it was going to end like this. It just happened."

The priest is responsible for the plot. It was the priest's idea to put Juliet to sleep, which mistakenly is the reason of Romeo's death, and followed by Juliet's. Though the priest would not face a death sentence, the priest is to be imprisoned in the dark dungeons of the Capulet house for five years.
